Bike Pathways: An Extraordinary Way to Explore Jackson Hole

Learn more about the Jackson Hole Pathway system and how you and your family can make the most of them on your next visit.

The Pathways

Jackson Hole is home to over 56 miles of paved pathways, and it is one of the most extraordinary ways to explore the area. These recreational pathways link Teton Village, Wilson, Hoback Junction, and Grand Teton National Park to Jackson. Friends of Pathways has been working hard to create this safe network of bike trails, roadways, and sidewalks for active transportation and healthy recreation. Residents and visitors can use these pathways to access the outdoors, local businesses, and recreation opportunities without needing a car. If you are visiting town and want an easy way around, check out our rental bike options, from e-pathway to road bikes. We want to make it an easy decision for you, depending on where you want to go, how much time you have to spend, and the bike you want to ride. Below is an itinerary of Hoback’s favorite ways around the pathways.

If you rent a bike from us, you will receive a free SMART bus pass to return to Jackson when you drop your bike off. Instead of taking the pathway to Wilson, take a right on Moose Wilson Road. Stay north to Teton Village and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. On your way, you will find incredible views and photo opportunities of the Tetons. Stop at Calico or Sidewinders for a local favorite meal on your way, or enjoy a snack at Aspens Market.

There will be plenty of opportunities to see horses or cows grazing in the fields with views of the Teton landscape. As you enter Wilson, watch for Elk cooling off as you cross the Snake River. There are plenty of things to do in Wilson, such as enjoying the festivities at the Stagecoach Bar, grabbing a bite to eat at Noras Fish Creek Inn, or exploring the Raptor Center. You can continue biking north on the secluded Fish Creek Road or south on Fall Creek Road.

Before you take a right on Wilson Canyon Road, consider stopping at the Bird restaurant for some of the best wings in town. Remain on South Park Loop Road until it connects again with the pathway. Three Creek Ranch will be on your left as you take a right on South Park Loop Road. Follow the path next to Middle School Road and take a left before Summit Innovations School.
